Congratulations to Laura from South Carolina on winning my April giveaway of the Late July chips prize pack! You are going to love all the flavors but I'd like to hear which one is your favorite.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway by tweeting, liking and commenting. I consider these giveaways a big "thank-you" to all of you who read FFP and hang with me through thick and thin. It's also my way of introducing you to some companies that I really enjoy and support.
On a personal note, I wanted to update you on my sweet son Jackson. (Thank you for those of you who commented and sent me so much love and support. I really needed it.) Last Wednesday we ended up returning to Wolfson's Children's Hospital because Jackson starting having seizures again at about 6:15am while eating breakfast. We took our third ambulance trip to downtown Jacksonville and prayed that this time we could find out some answers. Fortunately, we did.
Jackson was once again hooked up to an EEG for 24 hours. They were able to capture two of his episodes on this test and confirmed they were a specific kind of seizure. They started him on a particular type of anti-seizure meds and he has not had an episode since. We don't know what is causing the seizures but we do know it's nothing extremely bad or major (tumor, disease, infection). The good thing about not being able to identify the root cause is that it indicates he will likely grow out them. It's been a week since we were discharged and he is doing fantastic --tiring me out with his endless energy, but doing amazing. =)
Now back to blog stuff -- My goal for May is to get back to regular blogging and recipe sharing. My personal life has been very consuming this spring with my hubby starting his first head coaching job, moving into a new house, being pregnant (and we still haven't picked a name), caring for my elderly dog and teaching a time-consuming class at UNF. Now that my spring semester is over, I am itching to devote more time back to this blog and returning to writing some helpful stuff.
If you have any topics that you'd like me to write about, please post a comment. A few friends have given me ideas and I look forward to delivering my fresh perspective!
Stay tuned for a new healthy cookie recipe and another giveaway in the next week. I've also been planning a "Pregnancy Survival Guide" series that I just haven't had the time to pen till now.
Peace and Love,
Jenna
Jenna! I'd love to hear more about sugar, what amount is too much for our kids? How to read labels wisely, etc. I would also love to know your thoughts on the Paleo craze.
