Well, I'm not in the place I'd like to be at the start of 2013. The Braddocks are currently homeless. Our townhouse has been rented and we are still waiting (going on a week now) for our new mortgage to be finalized. We are staying at my gracious in-laws home. I'm sorry I haven't had any great, inspiring words as you start 2013. I am honestly trying to hold it together myself and not attack every yummy sweet I encounter.
There is a small silver lining to this situation. My in-laws live out in the country right next to a state park. It's quiet and serene. Every day we have taken a walk, run or golf cart ride - enjoying the wild life and sunsets (check out my Instagram pictures). Despite being angry about the situation, the cool breeze and beautiful woods has calmed me down quite a bit. I've enjoyed time to sit on the porch, play with Jackson and talk with Brian. I feel quite removed from my normal, fast paced life.
So in conclusion, I ask for your patience as I am without regular internet, my own kitchen, or anything that feels like normal life. I think about you all often and the things I wish I was writing about or the recipes I wish I making. My posts will be back on track soon, although I don't know when for sure.
Happy New Year everyone!
Jenna
If the lid does not fit properly, or if you take the lid off the steam pot during cooking, steam will escape and the cooking time will increase. Thanks.

Love your post and your honesty. Especially the sweet attack encounters. Personally I have lost many of those encounters this Christmas. I'm glad things are returning to normal around here. Here's to yours returning quickly. Happy New Year! xo

Happy New Year, Jenna! Home-buying is always frustrating, as a rule. You will only appreciate your purchase even more for the trouble, and if it doesn't work out, you'll find an even better home very soon. Best wishes! ~Brandi in WA

I love you, beautiful friend. Even in times of change, God is changing you... At least your outlook. Enjoy it- this will pass quickly. Miss you.
