Our first 24 hours in the Napa area have been phenonimal. The weather is beautiful, the company is super fun, and the food has been impressive.
On Saturday night we visited Gott's Roadside, a must-visit place in St. Helena. It has the old-fashioned feel of a drive-in but the food is modern and delicious.
I ordered the Ahi Poke Tacos and they were awesome. The ambiance of the place is half the fun - picnic benches outside under the beautiful sunset. It doesn't get much more relaxing.
This morning, Sunday, we had brunch at Tra Vigne. We had an amazing meal for a really good price. I highly recommend it. Our favorite dish was the made-to-order hand pulled mozzarella. That's right, they make it when you order it. This was the best mozzarella I think I've ever had.
Our winery tour took us Merryvale, Frog's Leap (my personal favorite) and Provenance. They were all lovely but the highlights were playing a game of corn hole at the farm of Frog's Leap and doing a private barrel tasting at Provenance.
Tomorrow's journey will include a hot air balloon ride over the countryside. I am so excited and I can't wait to show you pictures.
Yum yum yum yum yum! I need to go there! Ahh! That mozz sounds absolutely amazing!
