Today was another whirl-wind day in San Francisco! We were all over the place. Food-wise, I experienced quite a mix of tasty food. We started at the Fisherman's Wharf and just had to get a sourdough bread bowl with clam chowder. EVERYONE said we had to have some. It was really good.
Next we biked over to Saulsalito, which is just over the Golden Gate Bridge. We ate at lovely local diner called the Lighthouse Coffee Shop. It was not anything amazing, but it was definitely a locals spot. We both had salads because we were craving veggies. It was great and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.
We finished the day off with dinner at Santorini, a mediterranean restaurant located near our hotel. It was a great meal for a pretty good price. I had a sampler platter of all things mediterranean: hummus, falafel, babaghanoosh, tabbuleh, and spanakopita. There were a couple of items that I haven't tried before so it was a bit of an adventure seeing what they would bring me. It ended up being delicious and paired nicely (in my opinion) with a glass of Cab. All in a days work!
All I can say is yum, yum, yum to all of it! Sounds awesome and biking while there is great so you can work off the calories! Thanks for sharing this adventure. I am having fun reading your blogs! Keep having fun! :-)
