Sports nutrition is about strategies, not tips. In order to perform at your best, you have to have a plan, just like you do with with training.
Oh, maybe I should back up and mention, sports nutritions is my FAVORITE topic. I get so incredibly excited to help athletes piece together the components of their life to be the best athlete they can be. Why? Because when I was a high school volleyball, someone taught me how to eat well and it changed my life forever.
This week I had the pleasure of being on TV here in Jacksonville to share some of my strategies for working with student athletes. While I could've gone on for an hour (and I usually do when I give a team presentation on this topic), I squeezed in some important points in this segment.
