I just took a deep breath and relaxed in my stool at my new kitchen island as I begin to write this post. It feels really good to be sitting here in my new kitchen and writing to you. After a quiet weekend at home, life is feeling a little more normal, although it's still pretty hectic.
Personally, this last month or so has been really challenging. Buying a home and moving was way more stressful than any of us imagined. Throw in a few major life changes, and a growing toddler who moves like a tornado, and some days became a struggle to just keep up with the basic tasks of life. I'm sorry I haven't blogged much about this. However, I can now say that I am looking forward to 2013 and the opportunities it will bring.
So now to the title of this post--
Updates: Way back in the beginning of January I promised you some interviews with some pretty cool people. Well, I do have those interviews and I'm really sorry they haven't happened yet. Starting this week I will beging sharing those with you. I hope you are encouraged or motivated or just enjoy getting to know some people in my life that I've learned from.
Also, I am going to be on Good Morning Jacksonville this Saturday morning, probably in the 8 o'clock hour. So tune in to hear about some heart healthy tips. Oh, and did I mention that I now will be a regular guest on GMJ??? I'm so excited for this opportunity. My regular appearance will be on the second Saturday of the month starting in April. February and March will be the first Saturday. Mark you calendars and tune in!
Announcements: This semester I am teaching Community Nutrition at UNF and I love it!! My students are required to complete community volunteer hours and I decided to offer an opportunity working with me (on my many side projects). I'm very excited to have 2 students now working with me who offer a pretty incredible skill set. Chantelle will be working with me on recipe development and food photography as she has a great background in this and a pretty sweet camera. Dustin, who has his first degree in marketing and advertising, is going to be helping me jazz up this blog and figure out how to make the look more uniform. Both will be writing some content for the blog so you can look forward to hearing from them at least once each month.
And now the WINNER: Congratulations to Carolsue of San Jose Ca for winning my Gourmet Garden Prize Pack giveaway! This was my most successful giveaway ever and I really appreciate the enthusiasm and support you all gave. Just so I know and can plan more great giveaways, why was this one so attractive to you? I mean, I know I love my Gourmet Garden products so it could just be that. ;)
